Billed us $1,127 for replacing 3 radiator bleeders. Claimed it took 6 hours of labor but would not provide itemized receipt of how those 6 hours were spent. They were in our unit less than one hour. Also provided no information about the service or cost prior to doing the service.

I recently hired Capitol Boiler Works to address a faulty boiler pump in my building. However, their billing raised serious concerns. The invoice claimed two technicians spent 2.5 hours on site, but my maintenance tech and surveillance footage confirmed only one worker was present for 1.5 hours. When confronted with evidence, Capitol Boiler Works dismissed the discrepancy and accused me of dishonesty. Exercise caution when dealing with their billing practices. The bill for one worker for 1.5 hours is $1,434 of which $125 is for materials.

Trying to get service is worse than pulling teath.. It took them almost a year to repair a water heater, and that was after numerous calls from me. They installed a new water heater and that took about a year after several calls from me. There is much more, but I don't have time to list everything. I've been dealing with Capital Boiler for over thirty-six years, the last three have been horrible when it comes to service and, appa. Never used to be like this, have always enjoyed my relationship with them until now. I even emailed the president and instead of responding to me, he just passed me on to someone else. That was a little hurtful as I've delt with him many times, years ago, long before he became president of the company. Unfortunately, I may have to move on to another company as Capital Boiler is not the only boiler company around.

Capitol Boiler Works has been doing business for us here at Silo Point Condominium for over four years now. They are always up front & realistic with expectations, which makes it great for understanding not only the project we are completing, but how to fit what we need in our budget. All of the techs that service our site are extremely knowledgeable, friendly & willing to go above & beyond when completing a job! We will continue to use Capitol Boiler Works for our HVAC/Boiler needs!

I'd be happy to share my experience, but no, I will not be emailing your sales team. I spent weeks trying to contact your sales team... several emails and calls later, I finally bugged sales enough to call me back. I asked if i could get a quote to weld a 316L stainless vessel, to which i was told you do provide those services. For next few days, I had call over and over to get your sales rep again, hoping for the quote... instead, I was informed that the VP rejected my solicitation without even a site visit. So, despite the urgency of needed repairs, and affirmation that the services could be provided, I was denied even a quotation without cause or reason. I don't consider that good business practice.
