We had two sets of doors installed a few years back. At first the installation seemed ok but we have recently had a lot of issues with a sliding screen door on one door and have been trying to have someone anyone just care enough to fix the door. All of the parts helping the door slide have broken and the door was not assembled correctly on the track. We have reached out to Sunshine contracting and the manufacturer of the door to try and just get parts. We offered to fix it ourselves if someone would just help get the parts. The door is under warranty and it is absolutely an installation issue. We thought we were making progress when after months of trying we had a project manager come out and take pictures but he has since been radio silence. He said I’ll definitely help, took pictures said I’ll order a new door since clearly this is our installers fault and of course we have heard nothing! This has been very frustrating and what’s the point of a warranty when they won’t even return messages or call you back. Very dissatisfied with this company and would never recommend to anyone!

I have worked with Sunshine on two separate projects. They installed my roof in August 2022 and 12 windows in September 2023. The company is easy to communicate with and very responsive to questions. They provide a quality product at a competative price. My roof installation was done on time and my windows were installed several weeks ahead of schedule. While the window installation crew was friendly and fast, they were not very detail oriented. I had to ask them to fix gaps in the window trim and caulk. Additionally, they left quite a mess when they left. I found many sharp pieces of metal and nails laying around my back patio. My patio furniture cover was torn as they were removing the old windows. I would recommend using Sunshine, but be sure to inspect the workmanship before the crew leaves.

Sunshine Contracting worked with us over multiple years to help us with our transformative exterior remodel to include Simonton windows, HardiPlank siding, and Provia doors. Nate & Scott worked with us to customize the siding design, and worked collaboratively with our deck and porch contractor. We completed the remodel throughout the pandemic, and they were adaptive to any issue we had. We fully recommend Sunshine Contracting as a company that will stand by their work and go above and beyond to have a satisfied customer.

We had a fantastic experience with Sunshine - I found about them when a neighbor used them, and I was so impressed by what I saw I decided to hire them ourselves, to replace all of the siding and trim on the upper level of our circa 1930s cape. From the estimate through to project completion, we had a five star experience. Everyone on time, super professional, answered all our questions, did incredibly fine work (our old house is a puzzle of weird angles and detail), cleaned up to the point you'd never know anyone had even been here, and we LOVE the final result. They also did a lot of repair and replacement to some damaged wood underneath our old cedar siding, and added insulation, for a very fair price. We will absolutely use them again for the lower level of the house!

Sunshine Contracting Corp, specifically Matt Knez and Chris Posselh were personally responsible for a significant portion of our house being destroyed. Sunshine Contracting Corp's roofing replacement was grossly negligent and their inability to handle the weather event was project management incompetence. We haven't had any communication from Sunshine other than to collect for their fraudulent roofing project. They added $4000 worth of additional services on to our initial contract that we did not approve and that should not have been necessary. On June 19, 2018, a crew from Sunshine Contracting arrived at our house at approximately 7:30am to replace our roof. A heavy thunderstorm was predicted for that afternoon. At approximately 3pm, the thunderstorm occurred, but the crew failed to take adequate precautions to protect our home. A substantial amount of rain poured into our home and caused extensive house and property damage (approximately 30% of the house was damaged). Soon after the new roof was installed, we experienced water leaks. Sunshine Contracting last worked on the water leaks in the roof at our home in August 2018. These repairs failed and the leaks continued. We then had to hire a different roofing company to correct Sunshine's installation mistakes and properly flash the roof around the skylights and the sunroom addition. These repairs cost us an additional $4,500. It took 23 months to repair the damage and rebuild our home. The reconstruction costs were $110,000, of which $20,000 was not covered by insurance so we had to pay this out of pocket. In addition, $44,000 in furniture was destroyed. This process was extremely disruptive to our lives and jobs. We lost more than 60 days of work to be present to deal with contractors, and significantly more time was spent managing the reconstruction and insurance company issues. At one point, we had to be relocated for four nights. We have not attempted to estimate a dollar amount for the stress we endured from all of this, but we could try to do so if that would be useful. We are now gathering other homeowners in our neighborhood and other communities in Northern Virginia to file law suits against Sunshine Contracting Corp. for gross negligence and failure to install new roofing to meet industry standards. If you are considering doing business with this company, we would strongly recommend that you would find anyone else to do the work.
